Happy Father's Day!!

If Julia could talk she would say 'Happy Father's Day to the BEST Daddy a girl could ever hope for!!' Julia adores her Dad and enjoys his company to no end. It's too bad that we're in a different province this Father's Day but luckily we are just days away from summer vacation! Day after day to play with Daddy and go on new adventures.
Here are some photos of what we've been up to lately. First off, we have Julia walking around the back yard with Grandma. Julia is intently focused on kd who was eating plants. In her right hand Julia is holding the little baby that Great Grandma Julia gave her the night that we arrived. Also, you can see the pergola that Nanu is making in the background.

We had a great visit to Riverdale Farm. Julia loved watching the ducks most of all.
The Eaton Centre was such an exciting and busy place that Julia needed to take a little nap after a while.

And finally, here we have Julia eating snacks and making her best scrunchy face in her little captain's chair. She loves the dog toys around, not the least of which is an abundance of balls. "Ball" or "ba...ba" is one of her favourite words.

Hot Fun In The GTA

Another warm and sunny day in Toronto. We arrived Thursday evening and so far Julia has enjoyed a visit to Riverdale Farm, an afternoon at the Eaton Centre, a visit with Aunty Joanne and Uncle Phil and now a day relaxing and playing in the yard with Grandma, Nanu and of course KD and Zak.
Julia has discovered her Christmas gift from Aunty Barbara, Uncle Brian and Aislyn: a tea set. She loves the teapot especially.

Julia playing peekaboo with Nanu:
Fun in the pool:
Julia has lots of teeth now and they make for a beautiful smile:
A little snack - most of which got soggy from being dunked in the pool, but she ate it anyhow.
Despite all the fun, Julia and I are missing Daddy. Julia whimpered when she saw him on the webcam this morning and kept pointing to the screen and signing 'more' after he was gone. Fortunately there are plenty of fun distractions!

we're back........

"How I've grown......"

What can I say? it's been way too long since we updated you on Julia's life; sorry for making you hold your breaths for sooooo long. To cut to the chase...the reason we have been so absent is - well - Julia is fully and completely bipedal and a-runnin' !!!!! Everyone here at home is doing fine.

Erin received good newz on the work-front; she learned that she is now a Middle School Literacy Lead, so finally thoze kids are gon get learned reel good.

Julia has had her first birthday which consisted of THREE birthday parties, including one with family (for which Granmas Margaret and Cathy came all the way over from Scarborough to partay), one in Mrs. McIssac's class as part of the Roots of Empathy program, and one with some of our other friends on her actual birthday. Everyone was so loving and kind for their joyous and enthousiastic attendance and the many many thoughtful gifts. Julia got a "kiddie pool" from me and mom (see photos) lawn tent, lawn chair, books and clothes from Granma Margaret and Cathy, A beautiful smocked dress (sp?) from Great-Granma Julia, sand-diggin' toys, balls, sandals, clothes, stuffed animals, books, fresh baked-goods, homemade cards from her cousins and much much more.

Julia loves playing ball outside around the pool, carrying two tooth brushes in her fists, and moving moving and moving some more.

Enjoy the photos:

"Let's Party !" this is the purrfect cake for Julia, made by Erin and Granma Margaret
